Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. You will play a key role in leading and managing complex data center construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring successful execution, adherence to budget and schedule, and the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage Data Center construction through the project lifecycle
- Responsibility for end-to-end safety, quality, schedule, budget of the individual builds happening at a new greenfield campus
- Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facility
- Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs
- Maintain end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment
- Resolve highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs
- Serve as Overwatch's construction representative for multiple data center building and capital improvement projects, from project initiation through hand-off to operations.
- Interface directly with construction general contractors throughout the construction lifecycle, including bidding, award, execution, punch-list, and closeout phases.
- Develop comprehensive construction project Scope of Work (SOW) and Request for Proposals (RFP).
- Lead negotiations with general contractors, meticulously evaluating bids and proposals for accuracy and detail
- Effectively manage and monitor cost, schedule, and quality while overseeing construction contractors and vendors
- Execute various construction project management tasks, including document management, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, quality control, scope management, and schedule adherence
- Drive construction teams to troubleshoot and conduct root-cause failure analyses for equipment malfunctions
- Provide support for commissioning and integrated system testing, ensuring a seamless transition to operational status
- Contribute to the ongoing operation of installed facilities by reviewing procedures, promoting best practices, and supporting maintenance initiatives
- Facilitate the creation of capital requests as needed
- Analyze and report on construction progress and financials
- Document and report critical construction metrics to team members and management
- Participate in construction initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency and bolstering data center resiliency
- Offer constructability reviews for civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical designs, whether for new data centers or the optimization of existing ones
- Demonstrate leadership both within our team and among internal and external support teams dedicated to data center operations
MINIMUM Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers.
- Experience with either electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure.
*THIS ROLE REQUIRES BEING ON-SITE 5 DAYS A WEEK IN RED OAK, TX.
